Source: Grain deal talks seen held in Geneva Friday
GENEVA, Jun 7 (PRIME) -- The negotiations on several issues of the grain deal will be held in Geneva on Friday with the U.N. represented by Secretary General of the U.N. Conference on Trade and Development (UNCTAD) Rebeca Grynspan, a U.N. source told PRIME on Wednesday.
"The negotiations in the framework of everything that has happened lately around the grain deal will be held on Friday in Geneva. Rebeca Grynspan will represent the U.N.," the source said.
Russia's Deputy Foreign Minister Sergei Vershinin said on Monday that although Russia continued negotiations with the U.N. representatives on the deal, it saw no prospects of its prolongation because of the non-fulfillment of some of its terms.
